Apoorva has one and a half years of experience as a public policy consultant at a top political consulting firm. She conducted extensive secondary research and provided actionable policy advice to the Government of Karnataka and a major national political party.
Currently, as a consultant at Management and Governance Consulting, Apoorva is working on projects related to public finance and governance. She was closely involved in assisting Janaagraha come out with a compendium analysing the extent of implementation of the 74th Constitutional Amendment Act by Urban Local Bodies across 27 states. She has also co-authored an article for ICAI’s journal and conducted a webinar on Climate Budgeting by early-mover states in India. She is pursuing a course on Public Financial Management offered by a team of experts from the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund. Her MA thesis submission was on ‘Story of the Surplus – A Trend Analysis of Karnataka’s Surplus Cash Balance’ which examined how Karnataka consistently maintained a surplus cash balance for a large part of the last decade.
In her spare time, Apoorva enjoys cooking, reading spy thrillers and listening to music.
